Country pub set in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds and a popular stopping place for walkers and cyclists. The unusual name originates from the counting of sheep passing through a nearby clicking gate. It’s renowned for its traditional home-cooked food served in the bar and conservatory. It offers a choice of drinks, including six real ales at any time with a regularly changing selection of guest ales from independent and local brewers. Another handpull dispenses traditional cider. The house beer – Terry’s Tipple is from Bateman’s. There is a large, free car park, outside seating and tables whilst inside there is pool, darts and a digital jukebox for your enjoyment. There is a quiz and regular pool and darts leagues on their respective nights. A covered but unheated area is provided for smokers.
