Andy Hamilton presented the Income & Expenditure account for the Branch for the last 12 months. The accounts were signed off by Brian Calladine and Dave Cockram and subsequently ratified by our Treasurer and Chair.

To clarify, KD explained that the line regarding Chair Expenses was in fact Christmas raffle prizes only and that he hadn't even claimed back all the prizes and also had not submitted any expenses for the year.

It is a Branch rule that the accounts are not shown online, however if you want a copy of the report and are a Branch member then please email gro.armac.ybsmirg@rerusaert

Branch Chair Report: Any united fans in here tonight? I was going to start the AGM early tonight and finish at 7 but that would have been taking the Mickey wouldn’t it now? Our AGM one year ago, my time flies in one way, having just had a difficult time with Covid and also the resignation of some senior people (In experience I mean) it’s been a challenging year for our committee, so what have we done in this time:

Not one, but two ITD Magazines published, with a special festival edition hopefully to come next. An up-to-date website with all new news being sent directly to our subscribed mailing list Updated What Pub details after not doing this for a while.

Organised local day tours, got right up to date with POTY presentations, organised social trips to Barrow Hill, York, Newark, Brigg, Gainsborough and a wonderful Christmas function at Bateman’s Brewery, Wainfleet, also not forgetting the Country POTY awards to the ClickEm, Crown & Anchor, Station and Marrowbone & Clever.

We had tried to engage with more local pubs and spread our Monthly meetings out to various pubs this last year , Cleethorpes Tap House, Farm House, Rutland, Docks Beers and a very informative talk from Victoria-Ellis-Vowles senior lecturer at Lincoln International Business school, about the history of pubs, social behaviour and licensing laws etc at the Number 1. I would like to thank all those on the Committee whatever their positions, that have helped particularly within the last year, also special thanks go to:

Mark Long, particularly when almost a month after taking on the role of chair I was unable to attend two meetings due to the result of my injuries from my accident in April, thank you Mark

Andy Hamilton, for his determination and support throughout the last year, thank you Andy

Brian Calladine , for his dedication, thoughts, and contribution to our ITD magazine, not forgetting Graham Larn who contributed much to the content, thank you both.

Brian Calladine & Katie Marks for their commitment in updating our What Pub database, dealing with and replying to questions raised, not just by local CAMRA members but national members too, thank you both.

John Edwards , a big thank you to your enthusiasm and support with regards to Social activities for the branch, although he is away tonight, thank you John

A special thank you for the twenty odd members that regularly come to meetings and put their opinions/ideas/thoughts to the membership, these are the corner stone of our Branch.

So before I finish, there a few positions up for renewal tonight and it would be good to get some additional help and support from others to take up these vacant roles and quite frankly to make my job a bit easier! It’s not an easy job, and we are all still learning, nevertheless I think all of us can be proud that the Branch is very much alive and heading in the right direction, and to this effect I look forward to playing my part in the coming year. Thank you, Kevin.

Membership Secretary Report:

Social Secretary Report:

John Edwards resigned in February leaving the position vacant, he unfortunately cannot make tonight, but has sent the following message:

Apologies, will not be at the AGM as had to travel elsewhere. I am stepping down as the Branch Social Secretary so the position will be available. I would like to thank everyone who has supported the trips in the last year and I look forward to more in future, also thanks to the Chair Kev D, fellow Committee Members and Members for keeping the Branch going. [End] . After 2 years of covid and a willingness to organise events thereafter, we have successfully run trips to York, Newark, Gainsborough, Brigg, Barrow hill & Wainfleet. This year, so far we intend to run trips to Barrow hill and Loughborough and run quarterly trip to local pubs for the seasonal presentations. Kevin

Webmaster Report:

Our improved website has now been running for just under 14 months, this is run under CAMRA itself. I’m not sure how many members regularly look at the site, but to improve efficiency we do send advance notification of any changes, this is done to our WhatsApp groups, if you are not already a member then please give me your name and phone number and I will add you accordingly (or e-mail) ku.gro.armac.ybsmirg@riahc

I do hope you find the website useful, I have also over the last couple of months ensured our FB page is updated regularly. How many of you use the site regularly? (quite a few responded with a yes)Thank you, Kevin
