  • Barnoldby Le Beck
    • Ship Inn Main Road Barnoldby Le Beck DN37 0BG Telephone(01472) 822308

Well-appointed roadside inn, dating from 1790 and oozing class with smart banquette seating. The outstanding feature is the variety of bric-a-brac which must have been obtained from countless antique shops. There is a wind-up gramophone, old sewing machine and steam radio amongst others around the window spaces whilst the ceiling has an amazing array of smaller suspended items. Drinks may be served until later on Sunday if circumstances enable. There is also a stylish outdoor seating area, complete with heated booths, ideal for those chilly nights.

  • Caistor
    • White Hart 21 South Street Caistor LN7 6UB Telephone(01472) 851734

L-shaped with a back snug and nicely appointed, typical small town local, in fact now the only one, having lost three over the last 20 years or so. it's therefore easy to see why it is always so busy and the community focus. There are two bench seats at the front but with a strict warning that drink may not be consumed there. However, there are seats to the side and a rear split level patio (mind the steps!). Car park is round the back, with entrance off a side street.

Wetherspoon conversion of a former nightclub although the premises had been originally a cinema, hence the name. A Roman theme abounds with Italianate columns and a full sized model of a centurion stands guard by the bar. Impressive first floor display continues the theme and there are several relief murals around the place both upstairs and down. To complete the picture (no pun intended!) there is an enclosed roof "garden" in which smoking is not permitted.

We have thoroughly risk assessed reopening and are lucky that we are able to provide a very limited number of socially distanced tables for diners in the front restaurant on a pre booked basis. We will be offering drinks outside with table service only. We will not be taking drinks orders or serving drinks at the bar. We have also introduced a one way system for using the toilets for both diners and those enjoying a drink outside. We have set up sanitzing stations at all entry points and at the bar and sanitize tables and chairs after each customer. Please feel free to call us if you would like any further information on the safeguarding measures we have put in place. Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.

Fairly modern hotel which oozes class. Not strictly a pub - the bar appears to be mainly for diners in the restaurant and bistro and for residents but the casual drinker is welcome. The bistro is open lunchtime and evenings during the week and all day Sat & Sun.The extensive accommodation is appreciated by those having business with the many industries in the Immingham dock area including the two adjacent oil refineries. Celebration functions and conferences are supported. Just one real ale - Oakridge Maverick which is brewed by Tom Woods. Situated in a pleasant village, there is a nice paved outside area as shown in the photograph.

  • North Thoresby
    • Halfway House High Street North Thoresby DN36 5PL Telephone(01472) 840306

Formerly The Granby, this place has had a face lift and is mostly given over to dining as the "bar & grill" after the name implies. Most of the space is in favour of the diners but there is a small area with comfy seating and surprisingly a pool table. A patio with flower tubs is at the rear (where the entrance is located) and there is a small alcove which could shelter a smoker or two. Opens at 10am for brunch! Incidentally, the name refers to being located midway between Grimsby and Louth on the A16.

    • Stallingborough Grange Riby Road Stallingborough DN41 8BU Telephone(01472) 561302

What a superb location for this upmarket establishment. Essentially an hotel with over 40 letting rooms. A large former manor house, extended and roof replaced by thatch over the years, it is in immaculately maintained grounds. To the side there is a patio facing a pond, overhung by weeping willows and stocked with fish and resident water hens. A more tranquil scene would be hard to find. Internally, there are many rooms but where the bar (known as Thatcher's Bar) is situated, there is plenty of room for the non-diner and place is a popular stop-off on the way home. Note: the bar may close at 10 pm dependent upon trade.

  • Waltham
    • Kings Head Hugh Street Waltham DN37 0LL Telephone(01472) 826452

As with many others, this place has undergone a “knock-through” in the past, although not of any age since replacing a pub of the same name adjacent to the present incumbent. This has resulted in a “half-square” arrangement with one side representing a lounge area. A single hand pump serves real cider. Not much more to say except that this is a “Sizzling Pub” and thus concentrates on food to a degree with an extensive menu available throughout the day.
